Durmuş Dilekci graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Gazi University in Ankara and completed his master's degree at Istanbul Technical University. He founded Dilekci Architects in 2014, following the practice Uras x Dilekci that he co-founded in 2003.
Dilekci has served as a visiting lecturer at some of Turkey's leading universities,including Istanbul Technical University, Yıldız Technical University, and Bahçeşehir University. He performed as the Chairman of the Board at the Istanbul Association of Architects in Private Practice between 2021 and 2023. He has been an active member at the association since 2017.
His projects have been recognized globally, becoming finalists at the World Architecture Festival(WAF), Aga Khan Award, and the Mies van der Rohe Awards, and received international awards such as German Design Awards.
