Deniz Aslan graduated from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) as an architect and completed his master's degree in landscape planning at Yıldız Technical University. He earned his Doctorate in Building Information from ITU and became an Associate Professor in 2018. In 1994, he co-founded DS Architecture with Sevim Aslan, where he has led the design team and actively participated in projects. He also served as a faculty member at ITU Faculty of Architecture. Deniz Aslan has contributed to national and international projects in architecture and landscape architecture, winning numerous awards and having his work published in various journals.
How can we shape a living space where design, architecture, and landscape are all tightly interconnected? How can we create a new ecosystem from a place that has lost its ground? This story tells the processes of a living space where water and greenery intertwine, lush trees provide natural insulation, and spacious courtyards strengthen the connection between guests and nature.
